SkyWatch Friday

This weeks picture for SkyWatch Friday comes from my trip to Vietnam in 2007. We spent a night on a junk boat cruising Halong Bay in the north, a very beautiful spot. During the first afternoon I climbed to the top of this mountain.

You can just see about half way up on the left there is a midpoint viewing platform and some stairs.

It looks so steep from this angle.

  1. This image would look wonderful with a haiku poem. I love how the sun is going down behind the top of the mountain that you climbed.

  2. You must be fit!, as it looks like quite a climb to me..

  3. Gorgeous shots and it sounds like a wonderful adventure to have done!
Climbing to the top is a wonderful accomplishment. I salute you.

My Sky Watch is on my photoblog Carletta’s Captures.

  4. These are beautiful photos...great color...I would love to climb to that platform and look around! You captured the sunset just right...

  5. The second is a spectacular shot.
