Another from my back door. While there's not a lot of colour in this sunset, the moon came up early and it was nice to get them both in one shot.Click on the logo above for more skyward photos from around the world.
I opened this blog to post my pictures for the photo memes. Most of my photos were taken on a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ20, a small point and shoot.
This weeks picture for SkyWatch Friday comes from my trip to Vietnam in 2007. We spent a night on a junk boat cruising Halong Bay in the north, a very beautiful spot. During the first afternoon I climbed to the top of this mountain.
You can just see about half way up on the left there is a midpoint viewing platform and some stairs.
It looks so steep from this angle.
My images for SkyWatch Friday come from my trip to Lake Tahoe (USA) in 2005. I spent a morning hot air ballooning over the lake. This is the only place in the world where the balloon takes off and lands on a boat rather than from the ground during the warmer months. I was lucky as this was the last week of the season for the boat trip and doubley lucky becasue that day was the first that week where they were able to launch the balloon. The afternoon was spent driving the circumfrance of the lake where the second image was taken.
I will post more shots from this trip in Watery Wednesday and Scenic Sunday over the next week.
